This is a very personal story for me and I am very glad to see this information and award-winning documentary coming into the main stream consciousness with Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr Joseph Mercola.
In the late 90’s my mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. As both my wife and I already had a focus on alternative medicine we did a tremendous amount of research for working alternatives for my mother’s condition. My wife first found out about Dr. Burzynski’s amazing work. I called, vetted, investigated, read the research and court case records. I was eventually able to speak with two of Dr. Burzynski’s patients with full recoveries from their terminal brain cancers. Both of them had already been the toxic radiation route and had failed and were released on hospice to die. It was an honor to talk with them because they had talked to so many people by that time and been through so much, they just wanted to move on with their life.
The biggest lesson in this whole process was unconditional love for my mother and her choices. Her doctors told her Burzynski’s research was not worth considering and controversial… and that the best they could expect was to extend her life a few months with flooding her brain with radiation. She and my step father relied upon their doctor’s opinions and followed their directive, she died from the radiation a few months later. Bless their hearts they made the best decision they could with what they were told.
This excellent movie identifies the real culprit in this very sad game… the FDA & Big Pharma. The FDA, funded by Big Phama, was pressuring the Texas State Medical Board, at the expense of tax payers to stop Burzynski any way they could, including fake and un-provable lawsuits that were all either lost or thrown out of court. They were also trying to drum up a case to put him behind bars. Why? Just follow the money for the answers. Should Burzynski get a fair review and move forward as an approved treatment… the trillions of dollars fueling all the radiation treatments and drugs would funnel in one direction, to one man holding the patent on the new drug… Burzynski. He was offered a buy out but turned it down because he knew they would bury it. He was then threatened but still refused.
The FDA’s fear of this happening some day is laid our clearly by the Director of the FDA Bureau of Drugs, Dr Richard J. Crout:
“I never have and never will approve a new drug to an individual, but only to a large pharmaceutical firm with unlimited finances.”
-quoted from The Spotlight, 1.18.1982 This game fundamentally undermines the doctors own Hippocratic oath of: “first do no harm”.
So I am here telling this story to anyone with a loved one on this most challenging path, please consider this treatment. It does not work 100% for everyone but a 60% response and above a 30-50% reversal rate is a far cry from the old radical radiation drugs having less than a half percent response rate and an almost non existent reversal rate! This treatment at worst.. will do no harm… and at best it will transform the cancer to healthy tissue!
